The BOTTLE BRUSH has 34 species of bush. They are nicknamed "bottle brush" because of the cylindrical and brush-like appearance of the flowers on the stem. This shrub with evergreen foliage can reach 3 meters in height. It appreciates sunny and partial shade and ordinary soil. It flowers in summer. Its cultivation is only possible in regions with a mild climate in winter. It is recommended to plant the callistemon after the last frosts, preferably in May. The callistemon likes sunny situations. In slightly shaded situations, flowering is less abundant. It appreciates well-drained soils and especially dreads stagnant water in winter. In summer, remove the fruits in formation because they tire the plant unnecessarily and cut off the faded stems. The callistemon needs water at the beginning to promote rooting and recovery after planting. The potted callistemon must be watered regularly, as soon as the soil is dry on the surface.
