PEPPERS and CHILI PEPPER, in their many varieties (2,300 exactly) belong to the same species, that of Capsicum annuum! Among the best known varieties we can count of course the banana pepper, the Espelette pepper, the green pepper, the red, green or yellow pepper. They must be planted in a warm, dry, sunny and sheltered place in soil enriched with compost at the time of planting.
